Our Story

Hi all, I’m Audra! Rupert and I are so excited to be the owners of Never Bored Adventures. I have always had a love of the water. I remember as a kid our family would always be on the lake in the summer... fishing, tubing, skiing, wakeboarding, canoeing...I was happy anytime on the water :)

That love of the water and outdoors drove me to earn my master’s degree in outdoor education, which included taking kayaking, rock climbing, and hiking trips. It was during my master classes, I took my first kayak trip on Lake Superior. I fell in LOVE and bought my first kayak. I started teaching paddle classes in 2013. My college professor/mentor, Dr. Jeff Steffen, always said, “If you aren’t on an adventure, you should be planning one.”

My friends shared my passion and started a paddleboard/kayak rental businesses. I worked for them for years until they shut down during covid. Rupert, knowing my passion for adventure and water encouraged me to take over the business! In May 2022, Rupert and I started this new adventure of owning our own business together. As my college professor shared his passion with me, it is my goal to continue sharing this love of the outdoors with all of you. Our goal is to reach all types of paddlers by providing punch cards for avid paddlers, a variety of youth and adult classes, open rental hours, private parties, and challenge some individuals to try something new.
